Our adl suite!

A big part of the recovery process at Ivy Hill includes practicing activities of daily living (ADLs). After spending weeks, sometimes months, recovering from an illness or injury, the transition from Ivy Hill back to home can be intimidating. The features of our ADL suite include all the tasks that occupy your day to re-establish a daily routine and help you adjust to life if you will need a walker or a wheelchair when going home. Our therapist team will help you practice your ADL's and guide you through the tasks that you will be doing when you return home, including, but not limited to, meal prep, cleaning, and laundry.

Our ADL suite includes:

•  A fully functioning eating area and kitchen with full-sized appliances so you can practice preparing and serving a meal or snack with the use of the oven, microwave, coffee pot, refrigerator. We also have a dishwasher to practice loading and unloading dishes,
• Full-sized washer and dryer to practice laundry tasks,
• A bed, side chair, dresser, and armoire to practice getting in and out of bed and dressing, and
• A bathroom to practice independence while toileting
